CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's basketball lost to Centre College 68-57 in their final home game of the year at Grove Gymnasium Sunday.
The Warriors fall to 3-20 and 2-10 in Southern Athletic Association play with two regular season games to go. The Colonels improve to 15-8 and 7-5.
Centre led 26-17 with 7:06 left in the first half, when Hendrix answered with a 14-1 run to go up 31-27 at the 1:44 mark. The teams traded leads two times before a last-second bucket by forward
John Ogle gave the Warriors a 35-34 lead at the break.
Hendrix led 39-36 with 18:16 left in the game before Centre went on a 15-6 run over the next 4:40 to gain a 51-44 advantage. From there, the Colonels maintained at least a five-point lead the rest of the way.
The Warriors committed a season-low six turnovers, while the Colonels had seven miscues. For the game, Hendrix shot 36.1 percent (22-of-61) from the field, 4-of-27 from outside and 9-of-10 at the line. Centre was 44.4 percent (24-of-54) overall, 8-of-20 from outside and 12-of-16 in free throw attempts. Both teams had 36 rebounds.
Hendrix Notes- Ogle led the Warriors with 17 points and had four rebounds, a pair of assists and a block.

Preston Smith scored six points with four rebounds and four assists.
- Senior guard Drew Nikolvoski had four points and 11 rebounds to go with two assists and two blocks.

Centre Notes- Forward Blake Scinta, the SAA's leading scorer, had 22 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals.
- Jarod Griffin recorded 15 points, six assists and five boards.
- Tucker Sine added 11 points and six rebounds.
