CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Hendrix College baseball team lost at the University of the Ozarks 14-3 at Lonnie Qualls Field Wednesday afternoon.
The host Eagles (5-3) outhit the Warriors (2-6) 14-7 on the day.
Ozarks started off with three runs in the bottom of the first. In the top of the fourth, junior left fielder
Wyatt Hogan led off with a walk and stole second. Junior second baseman
Harley Faye moved Hogan to third on a base hit and freshman shortstop
Tanner Cooper plated him with a sacrifice fly to center to make the game 3-1.
The Eagles answered with four runs in the fourth and seven more in the fifth.
Cooper hit his first career home run over the right field fence to lead off the top of the ninth. Freshman
Josh Slezak singled to left and moved to second on a wild pitch. After a ground out and a liner for the second out, Slezak scored the final run of the game on a passed ball.
Hendrix Notes- Cooper went 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of runs knocked in.

Justin Robison went 2-for-2, drew a walk and stole base.

Jorge Leon reached twice on a pair of walks.
- Slezak also recorded a stolen base.
- Junior
Colten Poellinger (0-2) took the loss. He struck out three in 3.1 innings and allowed five earned runs, six hits and two walks.

Cannon Schrank fanned two and allowed three hits and a run in three innings of relief.
- Freshman
Rowe Stipe struck out one batter in a scoreless eighth inning in his collegiate debut.
Ozarks Notes- Center fielder Dan Igert went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, three RBI and a double from the leadoff spot.
- Right fielder Andrew Beck hit a home run and a single, scored twice and drove in three.
- Third baseman Justin Crider hit two doubles, drove in two and scored twice.
- Hayden Keller (1-1) earned the win in the start, allowing three hits, one run and one walk through four innings.
