MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College baseball team split their first Southern Athletic Association double-header of the year with #7/#11 Rhodes College at Stauffer Field Saturday.
The host Lynx (6-6, 1-1) took game one 4-0, but the Warriors (3-7, 1-1) rebounded to win the nightcap 12-8.
In game one, Rhodes starter Blake Glauben (4-0) struck out 11 and allowed five hits and a walk in the complete game shutout. Senior
Daniel Imbro (1-2) fanned six and allowed seven hits, three earned runs and a walk in the losing effort.
Rhodes scored two int he second on a RBI-double from catcher Marcus Moreland and run-scoring single by Nathan Foshee. They added another run in the fourth and one in the eighth.

Jorge Leon singled with one out and junior left fielder
Wyatt Hogan doubled to put both runners in scoring position. Sophomore catcher
Justin Robison followed with a two-run single down the right field line. Robison later scored on a ground ball by freshman third baseman
Josh Walker.
Rhodes put up a pair of runs in the second on back-to-back doubles from first baseman Nick Bosma and catcher Jacob Telli. The Warriors exploded for six runs on four hits and three errors in the third to go up 9-2. Hogan led off with a double and Robison followed with his first home run of the season, over the left field fence. With one out, freshman
Tanner Cooper reached on an error and Walker drew a base on balls. Junior pitcher
Harley Faye singled to right and an error allowed Cooper to score. A ground ball and a throwing error allowed Walker to cross the plate. Sophomore right fielder
Drew Judson hit a two-run home run as well to left center.
The Lynx added a run in the third and four in the fifth to cut the deficit to 9-7. Bosma nailed a three-run homer in the fifth. The Warriors took a 12-7 lead with a three-run sixth. Judson led off with a hit and stole second. Leon drove him in with a single to left field. Hogan walked and both runners moved into scoring position on a Robison ground out. Sophomore first baseman
Matthew Lillard knocked in Leon and Hogan with a base knock to right.
Rhodes shortstop Bill Munson hit a solo shot in the sixth for the final run of the game.
Faye (2-1) earned the win, allowing 12 hits, four earned runs, a walk and a strikeout in the seven-inning complete game. Adam Putnam (0-2) allowed nine hits, five earned runs, a walk and struck out one in his 2.2 inning start.
Hendrix Notes- Hendrix outhit Rhodes 14-12 in the second game.
- Each of the top five batters in the Warrior lineup had two hits in game two - Judson, Leon, Hogan, Robison and Lillard.
- Robison drove in four runs with his home run and base hit and scored twice.
- Hogan recorded three runs with his two doubles.
- Leon and Judson also scored twice.
- Judson stole a base in each game.
- Cooper extended his hitting streak to six games with a hit in both contests Saturday.
Rhodes Notes- Bosma drove in four runs in game two. He also scored twice.
- Munson had a double and a home run and two runs scored in game two.
- Right fielder Ryan Olive had two hits in game one.
