ATLANTA - The Hendrix College women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 Southern Athletic Association loss at Oglethorpe University Sunday.
?The host Stormy Petrels (10-8, 2-3) swept through doubles to start the match. The Warriors (6-8, 0-5) picked up two points in singles. Junior
Julia Lefler earned her 10th victory of the season with a 6-4 first set before Caroline Johnson retired at number one.
?Sophomore Leala Zaidi scored her ninth win of the year by defeating Katherine Walker 3-6, 6-4, 11-9 at the third spot. Senior
Any Jivan fell to Halley Sickling 6-1, 6-4 in number five singles.
?Hendrix will travel to Birmingham-Southern College Saturday for a conference match-up.
