BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost to Birmingham-Southern College 7-2 in Southern Athletic Association play Saturday morning.
The Panthers (12-4, 5-1), who are ranked 10th in the Atlantic South Region, swept through doubles, but the Warriors (6-9, 0-6) took two of the six singles matches.
In doubles, juniors
Julia Lefler and
Lauren Mahaney suffered an 8-5 defeat to Carlee Petro and Sara Cohen at the top spot.
In number two singles, junior
Pratheepa Ravikumar defeated Isabella Wisener 7-6 (7-4), 6-0. Sophomore
Laela Zaidi beat Mary Evelyn Carroll 6-3, 0-6, 7-5.
Hendrix will wrap up their regular season at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. on Sunday.
