MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost 9-0 to Berry College in Southern Athletic Association play on Saturday.
The host Vikings (7-4, 2-2), who are ranked 20th in their region, swept through doubles. The Warriors (5-7, 0-4) played the home team tough in singles, with two of the matches coming down to third set tiebreakers.
Hendrix junior Julia Lelfer was defeated by Mary Cerny 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 in the top match-up. In number five singles, senior 
Any Jivan lost 6-2, 5-7, 10-6 to Emmie Cornell. Sophomore 
Sarah Nieman lost to Kelsey McCray 6-3, 7-5 in the fourth spot.
Hendrix will take on Oglethorpe University in Atlanta on Sunday.
