SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team picked up a 70-64 overtime win at Sewanee - The University of the South in Southern Athletic Association play Friday night.
The Warriors (8-7, 2-2) started the game with a 16-8 lead, but the Tigers (4-10, 1-3) cut the deficit to 16-13 at the end of the first quarter. Sewanee pulled ahead 27-21 in the second period, but the Warriors ended the half on a 10-2 run to lead 31-29 at the break. Hendrix opened the third quarter with an 11-0 rally to go up 42-29 at the 6:20 mark. The Tigers went on a 25-10 run over the next 12 minutes to make the game 54-52 with 4:34 to play. A three-pointer by Sewanee's Bella Taylor with 46 seconds left in regulation sent the game to overtime at 57-57.
The Orange & Black scored the first six points of the extra frame to go up 63-57. The Tigers cut the deficit to 63-62 with 1:56 left, but Hendrix had an 8-0 run after a lay-up by junior guard

For the game, Hendrix shot 46.6 percent (27-of-58) overall, 2-for-9 from three-point range and 14-of-19 at the line. They also pulled down 52 rebounds with 15 assists, 25 turnovers, four blocks and seven steals. Sewanee shot 34.3 percent (24-of-70) overall, 9-of-36 from three-point range and 7-of-9 from the free throw line with 29 boards, 14 assists, 12 turnovers and 18 steals.
Hendrix Notes
- The Warriors are now 3-0 this season in overtime.
- Dyslin had a season-high 30 points and tied her career-best with 19 rebounds. She also recorded two assists, three blocks and three steals. It was Dyslin's third 30-point game of her career.
- Junior center
Madison Martin had her fourth double-double of the year with 10 points and 11 boards.
- Bode finished with 10 points, four rebounds and a pair of steals.
- Smith scored nine points and dished out two assists.
- Sophomore forward
Maddie Anderson had six points.

- Taylor led the Tigers with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and had three steals.
- Kim recorded 12 points, three assists and seven steals.
- Allison Hitchcock scored nine points with four rebounds.
- Corey Caoulder recorded eight points and five boards.
