Hendrix Picks Up 69-45 Win at Berry

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team defeated Berry College 69-45 on the road in Southern Athletic Association action Friday night.

The Warriors (9-8, 3-3) led the entire game, including a 20-10 advantage after the first quarter. They led the Vikings (7-10, 1-5) 39-24 at half and 50-39 at the end of the fourth. Berry cut the deficit to 50-41 at the start of the fourth, but the Hendrix outscored the host team 19-6 in the final quarter.

For the game, Hendrix shot 47.3 percent (26-of-55) from the field, 6-of-22 from three-point range and 11-of-17 at the free throw line. They also recorded 36 rebounds, 14 assists, a season-low eight turnovers, one block and six steals. 

Berry shot 29.1 percent (16-of-55) from the floor, 1-for-17 from outside and 12-of-14 at the line with 31 rebounds, seven assists, 10 turnovers and four steals.

Hendrix Notes
- Junior center Sara Dyslin recorded her 10th double-double of the year with 24 points and 12 rebounds. She also 81.8% (9-of-11), tied for the fifth best shooting percentage in school history.
- Junior forward Heather Prowse posted her first double-double of the season with a seaon-high 15 points and 11 boards. She was 6-for-6 from the field and had four assists and two steals.
- Senior guard Hailey Bode recorded 11 points.
- Freshman guard Amber Turner had 10 points and four assists.
- Sophomore forward Maddie Anderson added four points and three rebounds off the bench.
- Junior guard Leah Smith registered three points and three assists.

Berry Notes
- Alex Weems led the Vikings with nine points.
- Nia Smith had seven points, five boards and two assists.
- Rosie Lynch and Valerie McLure both had six points.

Up Next
Hendrix will travel to Atlanta to face Oglethorpe University in a conference tilt Sunday.
