SHREVEPORT, La. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost 89-81 at Centenary College of Louisiana in the Gold Dome Monday night.
The host Gents (6-6) led 29-22 with 5:56 left in the first half, but the Warriors (3-7) fought back with a 14-7 run to tie the game at 36 headed into halftime. Hendrix scored the first five points of the second period to lead 41-36. Tied at 47-47 with 14:56 left in the game, the Gents went on a 10-0 run over the next three minutes to lead 57-47. Hendrix cut the deficit to 57-55 at the 10:12 mark, but Centenary pushed their lead back to 14 with 2:05 left. The Warriors made the game 86-81 with 14 seconds remaining after a three-pointer from sophomore guard

Hendrix shot 41.2 percent (28-of-68) from the field, went 9-of-34 from three-point range and 16-of-26 at the line. They also recorded 37 rebounds, 14 assists, 14 turnovers, three blocks and eight steals. Centenary shot 52.9 percent (36-of-68) overall, 4-of-15 from three-point range and 13-of-17 from the line with 41 boards, 27 assists, 13 turnovers, four blocks and eight steals.

Hank Aldous tied his season-best with 27 points and had nine rebounds, a block and two steals.
- Smith finished with 25 points, knocking down five threes, to go with six rebounds, two assists, a block and a pair of steals.

Gearen Littlefield had 10 points, four rebounds, a block and two steals.
- Freshman guard
Jacob Link registered nine points, eight boards and four assists.

Travis Garrett dished out five assists, a new career-high.
