SHREVEPORT, La. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team defeated Centenary College of Louisiana 73-63 on the road Monday.
The host Ladies (3-8) built a 22-20 lead at the end of a fast-paced first quarter. They started the second period with a 13-4 run, but the Warriors (6-5) fought back to tie the game at 38 at halftime. Hendrix led 55-52 at the end of the third, before outscoring Centenary 17-11 in the final quarter.
For the game, the Warriors shot 38.2 percent (26-of-68) from the field, 8-of-22 from three-point territory and 12-of-16 at the free throw line. They also pulled down 53 rebounds with 13 assists, 15 turnovers, four blocks and nine steals. The Ladies shot 36.1 percent (22-of-61) overall, 9-of-22 from outside and 10-of-15 from the line with 34 boards, 13 assists, 13 turnovers, nine blocks and eight steals.

- Junior guard
Leah Smith came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range. She also had five rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Hailey Bode scored a season-best 17 points with five boards, three assists, two blocks and a steal.
- Junior center
Sara Dyslin recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Madison Martin added nine points, 11 rebounds and two assists.
