CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost to Millsaps College 63-56 in Southern Athletic Association action at Grove Gymnasium Friday evening.
The Warriors (4-8, 0-2) got off to a 12-5 start, hitting their first five shot attempts. The Majors (4-9, 1-1) fought back to take a three-point lead late in the opening period, but Hendrix took a 26-25 advantage into the break.
Hendrix expanded their lead to 40-33 with 11:31 left in regulation. The home team led 50-46 with 4:42 remaining when Millsaps outscored them 17-6 the rest of the way to take the 63-56 victory.
For the game, the Warriors shot 35.7 percent (20-of-56) from the field, 7-of-29 from outside and 9-of-13 at the free throw line. They also recorded 39 rebounds, 16 assists, 15 turnovers, five blocks and three steals.
The Majors shot 40.4 percent (23-of-57) overall, 8-of-17 from three-point range and 9-of-11 at the line with 32 boards, 18 assists, 10 turnovers, four blocks and eight steals.

Gearen Littlefield led the Warriors with 14 points to go with seven rebounds and two assists.

Hank Aldous had nine points, a season-high 11 boards, five assists and a pair of blocks.
