CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team rolled to a 79-53 victory over Birmingham-Southern College Sunday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium in a Southern Athletic Association contest.
The Warriors (5-8, 1-2) shot 57.1 percent (28-of-49) from the field and a season-best 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from three-point range.
They opened the game with a 17-6 lead over the first six minutes. The Orange & Black led by as many as 17 in the first half before the Panthers (5-8, 1-2) would cut the deficit to 36-27 at the break.
BSC would get as close as 48-41 with 12:04 left in the game. Hendrix ended the game on a 17-4 run over the final five and a half minutes. They led by as much as 28 points.
The Warriors shot 12-of-24 at the free throw line to go with 35 rebounds, 25 assists, six blocks and six steals. The Panthers shot 37.7 percent (20-of-53) overall, 2-of-17 from outside and 11-of-19 at the line with 29 boards, 14 assists, 14 turnovers, two blocks and six steals.

Hank Aldous led the Warriors with 18 points to go with six rebounds and five assists.
- Sophomore guard
Preston Smith scored 16 points with a season-high six assists and two blocked shots.

Gearen Littlefield recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.

Travis Garrett had 10 points and three steals.
- Sophomore forward
Bryce Batchelor came off the bench to scored nine points on a trio of three-pointers. He also had five boards and three assists.
- Senior guard
Bryce Parker also made three three-pointers en route to nine points.
- Freshman guard
Jacob Link had four points, six rebounds and a season-best seven assists.
Birmingham-Southern Notes
- Ian Thom led the Panthers with 16 points and five assists.
- Chris Graham added 10 points off the bench.
- Harrison Deneka recorded seven rebounds.
