Sewanee, TN - The Hendrix College men's soccer team squared off this afternoon with Sewanee in a SAA Conference match-up.
Hendrix entered the game with a 3-11 overall, 0-4 SAA record. Sewanee entered the contest with a 6-6 overall, 2-2 SAA record.
Sewanee outshot the Warriors 26-7 in the game, as the Tigers prevailed with a late goal that put them ahead 1-0 giving them the victory.
"It was a very difficult loss," said Head Coach
Matt Kern. "We competed for 90 minutes and made it a match. Sewanee is a very big, athletic team that is extremely dangerous on corners, long throws, and all set pieces."
The Warriors will look to bounce back on Sunday when they travel to take on Centre. The game is scheduled to start at 2 pm EST.
