Danville, KY - The Hendrix College men's soccer team hit the road this afternoon for a matchup with Centre College.

Overall, the Colonels outshot the Warriors 36-7 for the 8-1 victory.

They outshot Hendrix 17-0 and scored four first half goals to build a 4-0 lead heading into the half. 

The Colonels added another goal in the second half to stretch the lead to 5-0 before Hendrix was able to get on the board in the 66' to spoil the shutout bid.

Jack Butler scored for the Warriors.  

"Centre is a very athletic and organized team," said head Coach Matt Kern. "I was very impressed with their ball winning mentality as well as their technique and movement in the final third. We will look for a quick recovery and get ready for Ozarks on Tuesday."

With the loss the Warriors drop to 3-13 overall, 0-6 SAA.

Hendrix returns to action on Tuesday when they host the University of the Ozarks.
