Mount Berry, GA - Hendrix outgained Berry in total passing yards, but could not overcome BC's strong defensive attack in a 34-10 loss in a SAA contest Saturday on the road.
Sophomore quarterback
Miles Thompson finished 20 of 30 for 230 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.
Michael Spainhour caught three passes for 58 yards and a score, and
Nate Hodapp had six grabs for 55 yards.
Michael Kramer and
Kody Smith led the defense with eight stops apiece.
Cory McGonigal added seven tackles, including one tackle for loss.
Hendrix finished with 222 yards of total offense compared to 477 by Berry.Â
Berry jumped out to a 13-0 lead by halftime.
Spainhour would open the scoring for HC in the third quarter on a 43-yard completion for a touchdown.
The Vikings then pushed the lead to 20-7 with a 3-yard run.
A 23 yard field goal from
Sandy Burks would come next for HC to make the score 20-10. These would be the last points for HC as they would ultimately fall 34-10.
Hendrix will next visit Trinity for a SAA Conference contest on Saturday October 28 at 1 p.m.
