Conway, AR -Â The Warriors opened up the game against Ferrum on the attack. Dispute holding possession for the first few minutes in the Panthers end, the Warriors could not get a shot to the back of the cage and went into halftime all tied up 0-0.
The Warriors came out strong in the second half as well and at the 57:28 mark
Tegan Waller made the most of a scoring opportunity, grabbing a goal and giving the Warriors the 1-0 lead.
Holly Heeb had the assist on the goal, adding to her record breaking weekend as she broke school records in goals scored yesterday in their game against Lindenwood - Belleville.
Hendrix remained in control of the game until the final seven minutes of regulation. The Panthers would get their first goal at the 63:40 mark sending the game into overtime.
Early in overtime, the Panthers would score ending the game and taking the 2-1 OT victory.
"This young team continues to gel as a unit," said Head Coach
Rebecca Begley. "With four regular season games remaining, we have a few weeks to fine tune and peak at tournament time."
"Today was the best I've seen the team play this season," continued Coach Begley. "We just need to play that well for 70 minutes."
