Danville, KY -Â The Hendrix College women's soccer team traveled to Centre on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Colonels 1-0.
Centre used a strong showing in the first half to take a 1-0 lead over the first 45'. The Colonels used six total shots to jump out early; however, senior
Jordan Rausch kept the Warriors in it with some key saves in the opening frame.Â
Rausch was just as good in the second half, making a total of four saves in the game. However the HC offense could not get anything going as they fell 1-0.
"We played a very defensive game today," said Head Coach
Jeff Trimble. "Centre is a very good team and attacks really well against us. I was proud of how we kept the game close and how hard we worked. We will regroup and be ready for Tuesday night."
Emily Baldwin and
Rebecca Biggin earned the Warriors shots on goal as the loss drops Hendrix to 5-8-2 overall and 1-3-2 in SAA play. The Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday, October 17 when they host Ozarks for a 5:00 pm kickoff.
