Sewanee, TN - The Hendrix College Warriors lost a SAA battle to the Tigers of Sewanee on Saturday morning on the road. The Warriors could only muster seven shots – four on goal – in the 4-1 loss.
The first 16 minutes of the game was mostly played in front of the HC cage as Sewanee would score two goals in that time. Across the next three minutes, the Warriors had some of their best chances of the first half, firing a shot and having two penalty corners. Even with these chances the Warriors could not capitalize and the score would go to 3-0 at half time.
With the score at 4-0 in the 46th minute the Warriors would finally get a goal of their own.Â
Holly Heeb would take a pass from
Nadine Matena and put a shot past the Tigers' defense and goalie to put the Warriors on the board. Unfortunately this would be little to late as HC would fall 4-1.
Goalkeeper
Alexis Truitt made 19 saves and Heeb led the Warriors with two shots and a goal in the loss.
With the loss the Warriors fall to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference.Â
