Memphis, TN -Â The Hendrix College men's soccer team (3-14, 0-6 SAA) squared off Saturday afternoon with Rhodes College in a SAA Conference battle.
The first half started slowly as a majority of the game was played in the middle third of the field.
The Lynx had their first goal of the night in the 48' when they were able to get an open shot in front of the net. They would score three more times before taking the 4-0 win over HC.
"I was pleased at halftime to be tied 0-0," said Head Coach
Matt Kern. "Rhodes did a really good job of putting us under pressure in the second half, and deserved to win the match."
"We struggled in possession today," ended Coach Kern. "We were also ineffective on the counter attack. We will rest and get ready for Centenary on Tuesday."
The loss drops the Warriors to 3-15 overall, 0-7Â SAA.
Hendrix returns to action on Tuesday when they hit the road to play Centenary in a non-conference matchup. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.Â
