Shreveport, LA - It was a clash of the titans on offense Tuesday evening when the Warriors (3-15, 0-7 SAA) traveled to face the Gents of Centenary College.
Both teams started the contest with quality chances early on. The Gents would score first in the 5'. They would score again just three minutes later to take the 2-0 lead.
The time would come for HC to get on the board when
Gordon Perrin would score with assists from
Dalton Clement and
Jack Butler making the score 2-1.
The Gents would add another the goal in the 15' and go into halftime with the 3-1 lead.
The momentum and chances continued for the Gents as another goal gained confidence for them making the score 4-1.
Determined to keep things close, the Warriors had a beautiful goal to make the score 4-2 when
Josh Robbins would score on a penalty kick.Â
Sophomore
Patrick Bell continued the Warriors pressure on the Gents when he scored a goal to make the score 4-3. The Warriors took that momentum and continued to look for the game knotting goal when Perrin would score his second goal of the game to send the match into overtime.
After two overtime periods the game would end tied up 4-4.
HC will compete in the SAA Conference Tournament on Saturday in the Quarterfinals.Â
