Memphis, TN - The Hendrix women's soccer team took on Rhodes College Saturday afternoon. Hendrix entered the match with a record of 6-8-2 overall and a record of 1-3-2 in conference.Â
The Warriors got the scoring started first off a goal by
Hagan Griffith. After one half of play the score was Hendrix two and Rhode one.Â
There was a goal from RC to report in the second half as Hendrix would go into overtime with Rhodes. They ultimately would end in a tie with Rhodes 2-2 in double overtime. The Warriors were able to muster up 16 total shots on the day with two goals both from Griffith. HC goalkeeper
Jordan Rausch made six total saves for the contest.Â
"We created some really good chances today," said Head Coach
Jeff Trimble. "I felt like we were dangerous when going to goal and scored a couple good goals. We have to do better in our defensive third but overall I was proud of the effort."
The tie brings Hendrix to 6-8-3 overall and 1-3-3 in conference. Hendrix will be back in action Tuesday when they take on Centenary.Â
