Conway, AR - After a 3-0 sweep two-nights prior, the Hendrix volleyball team hit the court at home for another conference match against Berry.
The Warriors entered play 7-10 overall; 4-4 SAA, after their big win against Rhodes Wednesday night.  The Vikings rolled in with a 14-3 overall; 8-0 SAA record and are coming off a win over Piedmont.
Set number one was a nail biter that saw the Warriors top the Vikings 25-18. It was close throughout, but Hendrix gained the lead after the score was tied 12-12 and never looked back.
Set number two lived up to the same level of intensity as the first, as the largest lead was seven right at the end by the Vikings as they walked away with a 25-18 set win. Â
The Warriors built momentum in set two and carried it over to the third but it was not enough as the Vikings would take the 25-23 set three victory.
The back and forth nature continued in the fourth set as Hendrix pulled off a 25-20 win to force a deciding fifth set. Â
The match culminated with an epic fifth set. The Vikings came out on top 15-13 in set five and took the match 3-2. Â

Angie Boldt. "I am really proud of our teams execution to the game plan and scrappiness. We are disappointed we didn't come away with the win, but need to remember the type of mentality we played with tonight and continue to build upon that the rest of the way."
Leading the Warriors was
Lauren Petrisin with 18 kills,
Bradi Ryan with 17 kills, and
Lauren Dwyer who tallied 14 kills respectively.
Amber Melcher led with 33 assists and Dwyer led with 21 digs.
The loss dropped the Warriors record to 7-11 overall; 4-5 SAA. Hendrix will return to action as they host senior day on October 7th at 12 pm against Oglethorpe University. Â
