Lexington, KY - The Hendrix Warriors and Transylvania Pioneers played 70 minutes of tough field hockey but unfortunately Transylvania would be the only team able to score, taking the 4-0 victory over HC.
"This is a great weekend for the SAA," said Head Coach
Rebecca Begley. "The sport of field hockey is growing. I am excited to see Field Hockey Growing in the south, Louisville being the site of the NCAA Championships for all divisions."
"Anything can happen in November," ended Coach Begley. "I am looking forward to another conference match-up tomorrow and tournament time in November."
The Pioneers outshot the Warriors 26-4 in the game. Hendrix goalie
Alexis Truitt collected nine saves between the pipes.Â
Hendrix's four shots in the contest came from
Romee Blokland and
Rebecca Maeder as both had two shots with one of those being on goal for each of them.
With the loss the Warriors move to 3-4 on the season.
The Warriors will next take the field on Sunday when they travel to Centre College for another SAA contest. Game time is slated for 11:00am.
