Memphis, TN - The Hendrix College women's basketball team faced Maryville for an non-conference match-up this afternoon. This would be the Warriors' final game before entering a much needed two week rest.

The Warriors (6-1) entered the contest looking to keep their five game winning streak alive.

The Warriors dominated Maryville on the night, leading from start to finish (69-58).

"The girls played with great energy today and that led to a handful of big plays going our way," said Head Coach Drew Gaeng. "I was extremely happy with the effort throughout the game."

Freshman Kessie Jenkins played great basketball for the Warriors, as she registered a game high 20 points and three rebounds, with one coming on the offensive end. Jenkins also had one steal on the night.

Senior Madison Martin also reached double digits with 13 points, one assist and one steal.

Hendrix had eleven steals in the win, forcing a total of 15 turnovers, which played a very large role in the victory. They also out-rebounded Maryville 40-38.

The win improves Hendrix to 7-1.

Hendrix returns to action on Tuesday Dec.19 as they face Dallas in a non-conference match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
