CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost 82-70 to Sewanee - The University of the South at Grove Gymnasium Friday night.
The Warriors drop to 10-12 overall and 6-6 in Southern Athletic Association play. The Tigers improve to 13-10 overall and 6-6 in conference. Both teams are now tied for fourth place with two games left.
Hendrix led 33-24 with 4:57 left in the first half, but Sewanee went on a 13-4 run to end the half, making the contest 37-37 at the break. Both teams shot better than 53 percent in the first period.
The Tigers led 47-46 with 14:43 remaining, then expanded their advantage to 60-48 with a 13-2 rally over the next six minutes. Sewanee maintained at least an eight-point lead throughout the rest of the contest.
For the game, Hendrix shot 43.5 percent (27-of-62) from the field, 6-of-24 from three-point range and 10-of-19 at the free throw line with 26 rebounds, 24 assists, eight turnovers, 10 blocks and seven steals. Sewanee shot 50 percent (30-of-60) overall, 8-of-20 from three-point range and 14-of-18 at the line with 47 rebounds, 16 assists, three blocks and four steals.

- Senior guard
Hank Aldous led the Warriors with 24 points, five rebounds, three blocks and a career-high five steals. He also dished out six assists.
- Sophomore guard
Preston Smith netted 19 points with three assists.
- Senior center
Gearen Littlefield had nine points, four boards and two blocks.
- Senior guard
Aaron Steele scored eight points.
- Freshman guard
Jacob Link tied his season-high with nine assist and pulled down four rebounds.
Sewanee Notes
- Adrian Thomas led the Tigers with 24 points and had 12 rebounds and two steals.
- Jorden Williams scored 17 points.
- Forward Brody Stone had 12 points, 13 boards and six assists.
- Hunter Buescher recorded 12 points and five assists.
