CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team rolled to a 67-52 victory over Sewanee - The University of the South at Grove Gymnasium on Friday night.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 13-10 overall and 7-5 in Southern Athletic Association play. They are now tied for third place with two games to play. The Tigers fall to 8-14 overall and 5-7 in conference.
Hendrix jumped out to a 24-10 lead after the first quarter, where they shot 69.2 percent (9-of-13) from the field. They led 38-25 at the break. Sewanee got as close as nine points with 3:39 left in the third quarter. The Warriors answered with a 17-4 run to push their advantage to 21 points with 6:33 left. The Orange & Black maintained at least a 15-point lead for the rest of the game.
The Warriors shot 50 percent (27-of-54) from the field, 6-of-22 from three-point range and 7-of-11 from the free throw line. They also had 38 rebounds, 20 assists, 17 turnovers, four blocks and seven steals. The Tigers shot 33.3 percent (18-of-54) overall, 6-of-18 from outside and 10-of-16 at the line with 28 boards, 13 assists, 14 turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.

- Junior center
Sara Dyslin led the Warriors with 21 points with nine rebounds and four blocked shots. She shot 8-of-11 from the field.
- Junior forward
Heather Prowse recorded 11 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 5-of-6.
- Sophomore forward
Maddie Anderson came up with career-highs of eight points and nine boards.
- Freshman guard
Amber Turner had seven points and five assists.
- Freshman
Jordan Tibbits scored seven points as well.
- Senior guard
Hailey Bode registered five assists and three steals.

- Hannah McCormack led the Tigers with 13 points and eight rebounds.
- Savannah Rose, Bella Taylor and Allison Hitchcock each scored eight points.
- Sue Kim dished out five assists.
