MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team moved to 5-1 with a 5-4 victory over regionally-ranked Covenant College on Saturday.
The Warriors took two of three doubles matches from the Lady Scots (2-4), who were ranked 18th in the Atlantic South region. Senior

Rebecca Sherman defeated Aly Hall and Ester Eddy 8-6 at the number one spot to move to 8-1 on the year. At second doubles, seniors
Julia Lefler and
Lauren Mahaney beat Gracie Smith and Claire Luger 8-6.
In singles, Lefler topped Annie DeLuca 6-1, 6-1 in the second spot. In number three singles, Mahaney defeated Luger in an epic third-set tiebreaker 6-2, 4-6, 17-15. Junior
Sarah Nieman secured the win for Hendrix with a number six 6-3, 6-1 win over Jennie Spielman.
Hendrix will take on Rhodes in Southern Athletic Association action Sunday at 9 a.m. then play Christian Brothers University at 1:30 p.m.
