SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost to #16 Sewanee - The University of the South 9-0 on the road in Southern Athletic Association action on Friday.
The Tigers (15-5, 6-0) took all three doubles matches from the Warriors (9-7, 1-5) to start the match.
Sewanee's number one doubles tandem of Clementina Davila and Darby Duval defeated senior
Pratheepa Ravikumar and freshman
Rebecca Sherman 8-2.
In singles, Davila defeated Ravikumar 6-2, 6-3 in the top spot. At number four, Maggie Crumbliss topped Sherman 6-0, 6-2. Meredith Heitland was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over junior
Sarah Walker in number five singles.
Hendrix will wrap up the regular season Saturday morning at Centre College in Danville, Ky.
