CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's tennis team lost 7-2 to Millsaps College in Southern Athletic Association action Sunday.
The host Warriors (9-4, 1-2), who are ranked 18th in the Atlantic South region, took one of three doubles matches, while the Majors (13-3, 3-0), ranked #14 in the region, took five singles matches.
The Hendrix number two doubles duo of seniors
Julia Lefler and
Lauren Mahaney defeated Rachel Beck and Tori Barbier 8-1.
Freshman
Rebecca Sherman had a number three singles victory over Jordan Kanak 7-6, 0-6, 6-2 to improve her record to 13-4 on the season.
Junior
Sarah Walker lost in three sets to Mary Claiborne-Sharpe 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 in the fourth spot. Mahaney fell to Maggie Dabadie 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 in number two singles.
Hendrix will host SAA foe Berry College on Saturday.
