Conway, AR - The Hendrix College Women's Soccer team hosted the Central Baptist College Mustangs in an afternoon non-conference matchup. This was a big match for both teams as HC was looking to gain their second win of the season and CBC was looking to grab their first.
The Warriors entered the contest with a 1-3 overall record the Mustangs entered the match with a 0-5 overall record.
Hendrix was able to get on the scoreboard first in the first minute when CBC scored on their own goal.
Hagan Griffith was able to position the ball perfectly to get the assist on this play.
Hendrix would hold an 8-0 edge going into the half. Â They also held the edge in shots at that point 16-0, and in corner kicks 7-0.
The Mustangs would try and battle back though, as they have all season, and got on the board in the 79'. Sabrina Torres was able to get the goal for CBC but the game would soon end with HC taking the 8-1 victory.
"I really like how hard the team played tonight," said Head Coach
Jeff Trimble. "We created a lot of great chances on goal and were able to capitalize on a lot of them. Its always nice to be able to play everybody and see how how they work and contribute to the game."

With the win, the Warriors improved to 2-3 overall.
The Warriors will match up with MacMurray next on Friday at 4:00 pm. Â
