Jacksonville, IL - The Hendrix College Women's Soccer team traveled to match up with the MacMurry College Highlanders in an a non-conference matchup.
The Warriors entered the match 2-3 overall, the Highlanders entered the match 1-3.
The Warriors would come out of the gates strong this afternoon, controlling possession of the ball for the better half of the first half. With their 18-1 advantage in shots in the first half, the Warriors went into half time up 5-0.  Behind the leadership of senior goalkeeper
Jordan Rausch the Warrior defense prevented the Highlanders from getting a single shot on net in the first half.
The Warriors would come out of the locker room determined to leave MacMurry's campus with a victory.  In the 46'
Evie Cannon was able to score to put the Warriors on top 6-0.Â
The Warriors would keep their foot on the head of the snake the rest of the match, ripping off ten shots in the second half as
Hagan Griffith would score her third goal of the night to give HC the 7-0 sweep.
"It was a good game today," said Head Coach
Jeff Trimble. "The defense played really well and we worked hard. They had a lot of players behind the ball defensively so we had to really be patient but we were still able to score some goals. It was fun to see Hagan get a hat trick and
Christina Gorman score her first college goal."
Griffith was a force in the offensive end scoring three of HC's seven goals.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 3-3 overall.
They return to action on Sunday when they travel to Webster Groves, MO to matchup with Webster University The game is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
