Webster Groves, MO - The Hendrix College Women's Soccer team took the trip to take on Webster University (5-0) in another non-conference tilt this evening.

The matchup saw the Gorloks take a 1-0 lead into the half with a goal from Joi Wilson in the 23'. Hendrix was outshot 6-4 in the first half but GK Jordan Rausch kept the Warriors in the game making three first half saves.

The constant pressure of the Gorloks paid dividends in the second half though as they pulled away with another second half goal to win 2-1.

"Another one of those games where we play good soccer but don't get a good result," said Head Coach Jeff Trimble. " I felt like we created a number of really good chances and just didn't finish. They were a good team and took advantage of their opportunities in the first half. We came out and played a great 25 minutes in the second half to tie the game but I felt like we lost a lot of momentum on their second goal, which was a penalty kick. We need to learn from these types of games."

Hendrix got a second half goal from Hagan Griffith (58').

The Warriors were outshot 11-10 in the loss with Rausch making five saves for the Warriors. Griffith registered the only goal for the Warriors.

The loss drops Hendrix to 3-4 on the young season.

Hendrix will look to regroup on Wednesday when they host LSU Shreveport. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00pm.
