Conway, AR -Â Hendrix scored 36 points in the first half and limited AC to just 365 total yards to register a 36-24 hard fought victory over visiting Austin College today at Crafton-Faulkner Field to improve to 3-1 on the season.
Brooks Parham finished with nine tackles and had a forced fumble.
Chad McGonigal added eight tackles.
Sophomore quarterback
Miles Thompson finished 19 of 37 for 323 yards with four touchdowns, and added a team-high 60 rushing yards.
Nate Hodapp led the Warrior' receivers with eight catches for 100 yards.Â
Ben Ludtke had three catches for 87 yards, and
Michael Spainhour caught three passes for 72 yards, including a 25-yard score.
After leading 36-10 after the first half, Hendrix would give up a touchdown in the start of the third quarter by Brandon Evans. AC's offensive would try and take control of the game from there as they would add another touchdown in the fourth quarter and were the only ones to score in the second half. Luckily for HC the deficit was to large for Austin to make up and they took the 36-24 victory. Â
Hendrix out-gained AC 478-365 for the game.
Hendrix will return to SAA play on the road at Sewanee next Saturday at 1 p.m.
