Conway, AR - It was a beautiful night at Warrior Field for some soccer as the Hendrix Warriors Men's Soccer team prepared to do battle in a SAA conference matchup with the Millsaps College Majors.

Both teams entered the Friday affair coming off of a loss, with the Majors overall record at 4-4-1, and the Warriors sitting at 3-7 to kick off the match. 

During the first few minutes of the game, it was apparent both teams were trying to get a feel for one another, and the tempo that would be dictated as play continued.  First blood was drawn by the Majors in the third minute as Alex Bourland connected a shot into the goal.

The duo that would tie the game up for HC was Chase Beeler and Dalton Clement. Beeler would add the goal off of a dish from Clement in the 42'.

The game would end up going into overtime where Brett Judd would add in a goal of his own for MC to take the 2-1 overtime victory in the 97' minute. 

"I am really disappointed for our group that we didn't get something out of this game," said Head Coach Matt Kern. "While Millsaps had more possession, I thought we created a handful of very dangerous chances on the counter attack."

"Millsaps has four or five very special players that showed very well tonight," ended Coach Kern. "We will regroup and get ready for MUW on Tuesday."

The loss on home turf deters the Warriors' overall record on the year to a still promising 3-8, while the Majors leave with a record of 5-4-1.

The Warriors will look to bounce back in a big way at home, as they host MUW. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
