Conway, AR - The Hendrix College men's basketball team matched up this afternoon with Centre College in a SAA Conference game.

Hendrix was behind 46-39 at the intermission, and tried to erase the deficit in the second half, but ended up falling by 25 points 98-73 in a very tough SAA loss.

The Warriors got off to a good start in the first half, building a four point lead 15-11 in the opening six minutes behind a lay-up from Kam Brasfield.

Centre knotted the score back up 15-15 with 13:26 remaining in the first half on a dunk.

Centre would push hard for the lead and went into the half with a seven-point advantage (46-39). Marcis Hall led all HC scorers in the first half with ten points.

Hendrix was also led offensively in the first half by junior Preston Smith who had eight points, on 3-5 shooting. Hendrix held advantages in shooting (52.0%-45.5%) and rebounds (20-17) in the first half.

The Warriors cut into the lead early in the second half. Hendrix went on a 13-10 push in the first six minutes of action of the second half to get to within four points (56-52) with 14:13 remaining. Hall would cap that with a made free-throw.
