Conway, AR - The men's basketball team hosted a SAA Conference match-up this afternoon when they took on the Tigers of Sewanee.
Hendrix looked to avenge Fridays 98-73Â loss this afternoon; however, was unable to do so dropping the SAA match-up 83-70.
The opening minutes saw strong defense on both sides of the court.The Knights would hold a ten-point lead (23-13) at the halfway point of the first half.
The Warriors would work hard over the next several minutes, however Sewanee would keep an eleven point 29-18 lead at the 6:59 mark of the first half.
The Warriors went on an offensive run of their own to cut the lead to 37-28 with just a little over two minutes remaining in the first half. The Warriors ended the half on a 4-2 run to head into the intermission down ten points 44-34.

Preston Smith lead all scorers in the first half with 12 points, on 3-7 shooting. Hendrix was also led by
Kam Brasfield with eleven points.
Sean Criswell also led the Warriors with four first half rebounds.
Sewanee (45.7%) outshot the Warriors (31.3%) in the first half.
As cold as Hendrix was from the floor in the first half they were able to turn things a little bit the second.
The Warriors however, continued to struggle shooting the ball but was able to drive and get to the foul line much more often in the final half.
The Warriors continued to pound the paint and in turn was able to get to the free throw line 14 times, connecting on ten.
Sewanee was able to out-rebound the Warriors in the final frame, grabbing 26 boards compared to Hendrix's 18.
Unfortunately for Hendrix, the Tigers kept the lead in the second half and never gave it up. They would lead by 14 with 6:34 remaining.Â
Seven different players found their way on the score-sheet for Hendrix, with Smith leading the way with 25. He also grabbed four rebounds.
Brasfield scored 15 points and grabbed four boards, while fellow freshman Marcis Hall chipped in with 15 points and four rebounds of his own.
The loss drops Hendrix to 4-14 on the season as they look forward to Friday, when they travel to take on Centre College. The game is schedule to kick-off at 8 pm EST.
