Conway, AR - The Hendrix women's basketball team hosted SAA conference foe Sewanee Sunday afternoon. Entering play the Warriors had an overall record of 12-5 and a conference record of 4-2. The Warriors looked to win a second conference game in a row with a victory today.

The Warriors found themselves on top after one quarter of play, holding a slim lead over the Tigers, 18-17. The second quarter would be just as tight as both teams were looking to score a lot of points. After two quarters of play Hendrix led by a slim six point margin 31-25. The third quarter also belonged to Hendrix as they outscored Sewanee 17-11 which put them in the lead 48-36 with just one quarter left to play. Keeping with the theme of the day, the fourth quarter was close. Sewanee would outscore Hendrix 30-27 in the quarter but it wasn't enough to take the lead as HC would win 75-66.

The win puts the Warriors on a conference win streak and they now sit at 13-5 overall with a conference record of 5-2. 

Individually for Hendrix, Heather Prowse led the way with 15 points and nine rebounds. Leah Boehl logged six rebounds and 15 points while Madison Martin added 12 points of her own. Vinessa Daniel also added 12 points in the win. 

The Warriors will return to action this Friday when they travel to take on SAA rival Centre.
