ATLANTA, Ga. - Coming off a tough loss to Berry, the Warriors looked to sweep the regular season series against Oglethorpe on Sunday in the final road Southern Athletic Association contest for the Warriors. Hendrix did just that as the Warriors defeated the Petrels in straight sets (25-20, 25-16, 25-23) for its 11th sweep of the 2018 season. With the win, the Warriors are currently third in the SAA with just two SAA games left in the regular season; both inside Grove Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 3-1 in the opening stanza, the Warriors netted off three separate 3-0 runs to take slim 10-8 lead midway through the first.
- Back-to-back kills by freshman
Sadie Walker and senior
Brianna Kelly helped the road team enjoy a 16-12 lead still in the first.
- A powerful kill from sophomore
Allison Long capped off a 25-20 set one victory for the Warriors.
- Hendrix jumped out to a quick 4-0 victory in set two; hit .214 for the entire set en rout to a 25-16 set two win.
- A late 5-0 run in the third set helped the Orange & Black come back to take the lead. Hendrix took the third set 25-23 for yet another straight-set victory.
- With the win, Hendrix obtained its 11th straight-set victory of its 2018 campaign.
- Senior
Amber Melcher logged eight digs and 20 assists in the victory.
- Long recorded a .625 attack percentage on the day; converting on five kills on eight total attacks.
- Kelly finished with a team-best 11 kills; also added four digs vs Oglethorpe.

Hannah Moore recorded a service ace and one kill in her season debut against the Petrels.
- Juniors
Lauren Dwyer and Kiersten Huitt each added seven kills each and combined for six digs.

Now that the all the SAA road contests have been competed for the Warriors, Hendrix gears up for non-conference action when it'll welcome in NAIA foe Philander Smith inside the Grove Gymnasium Wednesday. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
