CONWAY, Ark. - Looking to defeat the Tigers for the second time in less than three weeks, Hendrix faced Sewanee yet again in Conway with a trip to the semifinals of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Women's Soccer Championship on the line. Sewanee struck first, scoring in the 12th minute before Hendrix managed to record four unanswered goals en route to a 4-1 victory in Hendrix's first-ever home SAA playoff match. Senior
Hagan Griffith logged her first career postseason hat trick, scoring two goals in the opening half and her third goal in the 58th minute. With the victory, Hendrix ties the program record for most wins in a season with its 11th of the season (2016 club).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 1-0, senior
Evie Cannon fired another Cannon past the Tiger keeper in the 19th minute; Cannon's eighth goal of the year.
- Less than two minutes later after Cannon struck for the Warriors, Griffith logged her first goal of the night.
- Griffith drilled her 14th and 15th goals of the season in the 31st and 58th minutes to propel the Warriors to the 4-1 postseason victory.

Laycee Carpenter carded one save in 45 minutes of action while sophomore
Anna Claire Lewis saw action in the closing 45 minutes of regulation.
- Griffith recorded a team-best eight shots on the day; five being on goal and also carded an assist on the night as well.

Sydney Blevins combined for seven shots and three shots on goal in the win.

Jeff Trimble. "I'm really proud of this team. They put a lot of work in this last week getting ready for this game and they did everything that we asked them to do. Our back line played really well; both keepers made great saves. I can't say enough about the midfield and the forwards on our attack. We look forward to this next week of practice and getting ready for our semifinal match."
UP NEXT
With the victory, the Warriors will face the Centre Colonels yet again. The Colonels defeated Hendrix 2-0 on Oct. 7 in Conway, but the Warriors will look to give Centre its first loss of the season. Hendrix takes on Centre Nov. 2, the start time is to be determined.
