CONWAY, Ark - Winners of two of its last three, Hendrix welcomed in Birmingham-Southern College into town Saturday as the Warriors seeked to claim a season sweep of the Panthers. Unfortunately, the Panthers ended up taking down Hendrix in four sets in Conway Saturday. The Panthers managed to hit .207 on the day while Hendrix recorded a .072 attack percentage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tied at two-all in the opening frame, BSC quickly recorded a quick 2-0 run and never looked back; winning the first set 25-15 after recording an .167 attack percentage.
- Trailing 21-18 late in the second set, the Warriors won seven of the next nine points to win the second set 25-23 to tie the match up at one set apiece.
- The Panthers ended up winning the third set 25-10 and the fourth 25-10 to win the four-set match over Hendrix.
- Hendrix finished with 14 block assist and 67 digs in the match.

Kiersten Summers hit .200 on the day with nine attacks on 25 total attacks.

Amber Melcher combined for 28 total assists and 16 digs.

Jeanette McGrath tallied 14 digs on the day.
WHAT WAS SAID
"It comes down to the fact that Birmingham-Southern came to win today and we, unfortunately, did not," Head Coach Brittany Newberry stated. "Our performance today was not what I want Warrior Volleyball to represent. We must quickly learn from this and grow as we have to regroup and take on Millsaps Sunday."

The Warriors remain in Conway and inside Grove Gymnasium with another SAA showdown against Millsaps on Sunday. Hendrix will go for the season sweep against the Majors beginning at 12 p.m.
