Mont Berry, GA - The Hendrix women's basketball team took the long trip to Berry College for a SAA conference match-up Sunday afternoon. Entering play, the Warriors owned a record of 15-6 and a SAA conference record of 7-3.Â
The entire match-up was hard fought between the Vikings and Warriors. In the first quarter, Hendrix outscored Berry 17-6. In the second quarter, both teams put up 21 points and Hendrix held the lead 38-27. The last two quarters were just as hard fought as the first two as both teams put up over 20 in the third and over ten in the fourth. Berry came out on top by a final score of 75-74. The one point margin Berry gained in the fourth quarter as they outscored HC 22-13.
With the loss Hendrix falls to 15-7 and 7-4 in conference.Â
Individually for Hendrix, Vinessa Daniel led the way with 18 points.
Madison Martin put up 15 of her own while also pulling down 12 rebounds. Daniel also recorded six rebounds en route to another strong day for her.
Heather Prowse dished out four assists during the contest.Â
The Warriors will be back in action this Friday when they host Birmingham Southern.
