Big Fourth Quarter Propels Warriors to Win

Conway, AR - The Hendrix College women's basketball team faced off with Birmingham Southern this evening in an SAA match-up. This was a very special game as the Warriors honored their four seniors to begin the game in Leah Smith, Madison Martin, Heather Prowse, and Sara Dyslin.

The Panthers, fresh off a loss to SAA team Sewanee, came out firing on all cylinders in the first half.

Birmingham Southern jumped out to a 14-11 lead at the end of the first quarter but would find their lead taken away as HC would hold the lead (33-23) heading into the halftime break.

The second half was a much of the same story.  Birmingham Southern outscored the Warriors 21-13 in the third quarter however HC would still hold lead by two points. HC would then cruise to a 66-60 win.

The win improves Hendrix to 16-7, 8-4 SAA and they are currently in second place in the conference.

Hendrix got huge contributions from all five starters in the win. Senior Martin scored a team high 14 points, and had six rebounds.
