Conway, AR - The Hendrix men's basketball team was back in action Friday as they hosted Birmingham Southern for a SAA conference match-up. This was a very special game for the Warriors as they honored their three seniors in
Sean Criswell,
Mark Sheppard, and
Eric Roberts. The Warriors entered the game with an overall record of 5-17 and a conference record of 3-8. Hendrix looked to keep the wins coming after their win on Sunday afternoon.
The first half was a close affair with the Warriors holding a slim advantage 40-36 over the Panthers after the first half. In the second half, Birmingham Southern turned up the pressure and outscored the Warriors 53-36. Hendrix would fall by a score of 89-76 to the red hot Birmingham Southern team.Â
The loss drops Hendrix to 5-18 overall and 3-9 in conference.Â
Individually for the Warriors,
Kam Brasfield led the way with 22 points.
Eli Fisher added 17 and
Jacob Link put up 12 points. Criswell pulled down seven rebounds while Link added six of his own. Brasfield dished out three assists while Criswell recorded one assists and two steals.Â
Hendrix will return to action this Sunday when the take on Millsaps at home.Â
