Conway, AR - The Warriors hosted Ozarks Tuesday evening in a non-conference match-up. The game would be a single nine inning game. Entering play the Warriors sported a record of 11-21 overall.
Rowe Stipe got the call on the mound for Hendrix. The Warriors wasted no time getting down to work in this one.
Jorge Leon singled to start the top of the first.
Tanner Cooper was then hit by a pitch, advancing Leon to second. Leon would then score and Cooper would advance to third on a
Ford Sherrington double.
Sean Dehne would come up next and ground out however Cooper would score on the play. After the first inning of play the Warriors led 2-0.
In the top of the second UO would put up three runs to take the 3-2 lead after just two innings of play.
Not satisfied, the Eagles were back at it in the top of the third putting across another run.Â
Hendrix would then add a run of their own in the bottom of the third to keep their deficit to one, 4-3. HC scored one run on one hit with one error and left two on base in the bottom half of the third inning.Â
In the top of the fifth inning the Eagles added another run and after the their half of the fifth, they led Hendrix 5-3.
Not going down without a fight Dehne got the bottom of the seventh started by getting walked.
Noah Gilbert was up next and grounded out but advanced Dehne to second.
Jake Wiegand singled next and scored Dehne. The Warriors cut their deficit to 5-4 after the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Warriors threatened in the bottom of the eighth and would put across two more runs to take the lead and ultimately the 6-5 victory.Â
Aaron Little picks up the win today, tossing 2.2 innings and giving up no runs.Â
Sherrington went 2-4 with one RBI on the day. Dehne added three RBIs of his own while Leon and Cooper each scored two runs.
 With the win the Warriors improve to 12-21 on the year.
The Warriors will be back in action Saturday when they take on Rhodes. First pitch is set for 12 PM.
