CLEVELAND, Miss. - After recording back-to-back home shutouts for the first time since the 2015 season, the Warriors looked to gear up for conference play this weekend but first faced NCAA Division II foe Delta State University. The Lady Statesmen (3-2-1) would record two goals in each half en route to its 4-0 victory over the Warriors (4-3-0) on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following two goals in the opening hafl, Lady Statesmen Erin Longsden found the net the third time at the 58:46 mark to give DSU a 4-0 lead.

WHAT WAS SAID
"We didn't play well today," Coach
Jeff Trimble stated. "Give a ton of credit to Delta State. They attacked well and were very organized. We didn't do a very good job o fdefending in our defensive third. I have to do a better job getting us ready for conference play in these next few days."
UP NEXT
Hendrix stays out east with a visit to Birmingham, Ala. as part of opening up Southern Athletic Association play. The Warriors take on the Panthers at 5 p.m. Saturday.
