CONWAY, Ark. - Following a tough loss Saturday in the Southern Athletic Association opener against Birmingham-Southern, Hendrix looked to get back to its winning ways with a date against Ecclesia Monday evening inside the confines of Warrior Soccer Field and that's exactly what happened Monday. Ricky Barrientos each recorded a goal in the second half to propel Hendrix to a 3-1 victory Monday for the Warriors' fourth win of the season. The four wins on the 2018 campaign are the most wins in a Warrior Men's Soccer season since the 2013 year (five wins).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After recording four shots in the entire first half, Hendrix tripled that amount by going for 14 in the second half alone; outshooting 18-11 on the night.
- Butler scored, unassisted, in the 61st minute to give Hendrix the nice 1-0 lead.
- After a missed penalty kick by the Royals, Ecclesia finally knotted the game up in the 83rd minute.
- 11 seconds after the goal by Ecclesia to tie up the contest, freshman
Jackson Goodwin found a cutting Robbins for the eventual game-winning header to put Hendrix up 2-1 with nearly seven minutes left in regulation.
- Barrientos all but iced the game up when Butler found the Bryant, Ark. native in the 88th minute to give Hendrix a commanding 3-1 victory with two minutes to play.
- Goodwin's assist to Robbins in the 83rd minute gave the Conway, Ark. native his fifth assist of the season; gives him individual honors of leading the team in assists; also leads the SAA in assists.
- Hendrix improves to 3-2 following a loss for the 2018 season.

UP NEXT
After opening the season with its first five games inside Warrior Soccer Field, the Warriors will hit the road with five of its next eight games on the road. First up, Hendrix will travel to Mississippi to take on Millsaps in another SAA contest. The Warriors are set to take on the Majors Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
