COLUMBUS, Miss. - After a 2-0 victory over Millsaps Saturday to improve to 2-0 in Southern Athletic Association action, the Warriors remained in Mississippi for a non-conference game against Mississippi University for Women Sunday. The Warriors took down the Owls 2-1 for its second consecutive time scoring two goals in a match in as many days.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After MUW struck first in the 38th minute, senior
McKenna Rylands knocked in her first goal of the season to tie the match up at 1-1.
- Senior
Sydney Blevins nailed her fifth goal of the season after an assist by senior
Melissa Miller in the 54th minute. The goal by Blevins would go on to be the eventual game-winner.
- Miller's assist Sunday was her fourth assist of the year; one shy of teammate
Hagan Griffith's five assists which leads the team.
- The Warriors landed 12 shots in the match (six in each half). Hendrix also recorded five shots on goals and finished with seven corner kicks.
- Sophomore goalie
Laycee Carpenter picked up the win for Hendrix. Carpenter carded 90 minutes of action at the net and recorded two saves.
WHAT WAS SAID
"We are happy with the result," stated Head Coach
Jeff Trimble. "I feel like we could of played better. Credit MUW, they were organized and well coached. Playing back-to-back can be tough and I am proud the girls came out and worked hard. We will get back to practice and get ready for this weekend."
UP NEXT
Following its fourth victory in a row, the Warriors will look for the winning to continue as it will host Sewanee Friday inside the confines of Warrior Soccer Field. The match is set to begin at 4:30 p.m. from Conway.
