ATLANTA, Ga. - In a rematch of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association semifinals, Hendrix (8-12, 4-5 SAA) looked for its third-straight victory over Oglethorpe (11-9, 5-4 SAA) in Atlanta, Ga. Sunday afternoon. Fortunately for the Petrels, that streak was snapped as Oglethorpe outscored Hendrix 40-33 in the second half en route to a 70-62 victory by the home team. Freshman forward

TURNING POINT
A 15-3 run in the first six minutes of the second half allowed Oglethorpe to take a commanding 45-32 lead with more than 14 minutes left.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second time in three days, Hendrix found themselves down early quick, trailing 8-0 in the opening two minutes but an 8-0 run, capped off by a layup from junior guard
Jacob Link, by the Warriors tied the game up at 8-all with 15:38 left until halftime.
- Trailing by three still in the opening half, a three-pointer by freshman forward
Seth Stanley and layup by freshman big man
Carl Fitch put the Warriors up by a pair of points with 12 minutes left until intermission.
- Both teams managed to stay within three points of each other as Hendrix 44.4% from the field and an exact same 44.4% from deep as the Warriors trailed by a point at the break, 30-29.
- Oglethorpe's first five made baskets of the second half were all three-points as the Petrels began the second half on a 15-3 run to take a 45-32 lead.
- A three-pointer by Link with 7:48 to go brought the deficit within 10, but Hendrix never manged to get within single digits until the 1:48 mark after a layup by Conrad.
- The Petrels manged to shoot 9-of-12 from the free throw line in the final 90 seconds as Oglethorpe avoided the regular season sweep and defeated Hendrix 70-62 Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga.
OF NOTE
- Rouse's 11 points Sunday tied his season-high; also was the lone Warrior to make more than one trifecta against the Petrels Sunday.
- Link finished with a near double-double after a nine-point, 12-rebound performance against Oglethorpe.
- Stanley finished with eight points and three boards while Fitch and freshman forward
Jake Riding added seven points apiece.
- Conrad carved up the first double-double of his young collegiate career after pulling down 10 rebounds

Preston Smith knocked in his 27th three-point basket of the season; finished with six points, three dimes and four rebounds.
- Sophomore guard
Jack Eaton accounted for four points and a pair of assists in 20 minutes before fouling out.
- Despite Hendrix's bench outscoring the Petrels' bench 32-5, Oglethorpe outscored the Warriors 23-4 in points off turnovers.
- Hendrix shot 23-of-55 from the floor, 8-for-19 from three-point land and 8-for-12 (66.7%) at the charity stripe while the Petrels recorded a 24-for-57 mark from the floor, 10-of-21 from deep and a 12-of-21 at the free throw line in the win.
- The 42 team rebounds Sunday was two shy of tying the record for most rebounds in a game this season while the 18 turnovers was one shy of tying the record for most turnovers in a game this year.
