ATLANTA, Ga. - For the second time in seven days, Hendrix (9-11, 2-7 SAA) took on Oglethorpe (15-4, 6-2 SAA) in a rematch of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Championship Game and for the second time in seven days, it was the Petrels who got the best of the Warriors. Freshman guard
Serena Pruitt tallied a career-high 16 points but it was not enough as Oglethorpe shot better than 38% from the floor and 40% from deep for the game en route to a 72-37 victory over Hendrix Sunday in Atlanta, Ga.

TURNING POINT
Oglethorpe jumped out to an unthinkable 17-1 lead thanks to five early three-pointers in the opening seven minutes of action. Oglethorpe never looked back as the Petrels led by double-digits for the rest of the way.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 11-0 out of the gate and 17-1 with 3:23 left in the opening frame.Â
- The Petrels maintained a 19-6 lead after 10 minutes of action.
- After Pruitt brought the deficit within 10, Oglethorpe sustained a 12-0 run to take a 31-9 lead with 3:52 til half; Petrels led 34-17 at the break.

Macy Moody (five) combined to score all 11 of Hendrix's points in the third period as Oglethorpe took a 57-28 lead into the fourth quarter.

Rachel Woppman combined to shoot 7-for-8 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter but it was not enough as Oglethorpe pulled out the 72-37 victory Sunday.
OF NOTE
- Pruitt shot 7-of-13 from the floor in 20 minutes before fouling out; one of two Warriors to reach double figures Sunday against the Petrels and the lone Warrior to score more than three baskets.
- Pruitt also pulled down three rebounds and tallied a team-high two steals.
- Moody recorded a double-digit scoring performance for the fourth time in Hendrix's last five games; recorded 10 points including 5-for-6 at the free throw line.
- Jenkins added five points and five rebounds against Oglethorpe; shot 3-of-5 at the charity stripe.
- The total points scored (37), field goals made (11) and total assists (two) are all season lows for the Warriors while the three made three-point baskets tie the season low for three-pointers made in a game (vs Millsaps & vs Southwestern TX)).
- Hendrix shot 11-of-56 from the floor, 3-of 18 from downtown and 12-for-17 (70%) at the free throw line while Oglethorpe shot 24-of-62 from the field, 10-of-25 from deep and 14-for-20 (70%) at the free throw line.
