TURNING POINT
Trailing by three with under 30 seconds to go, head coach
Drew Gaeng called timeout to draw up a play. With 15 seconds to go, King nailed her third three-pointer of the evening to tie the game up. After a strong defensive stop as regulation expired, Hendrix maintained all the momentum going into overtime.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After shooting better than 38% from the field and limiting the Colonels to under 33% from the floor, Hendrix carried a 23-22 lead into the locker room at the break.
- Centre struck in the opening five seconds of the third frame to take a two-point lead but a 8-0 run by Hendrix gave the Warriors the six-point cushion.
- Tied at 31-all towards the end of the third period, freshman guard
Macy Moody and King hit back-to-back three-pointer's to maintain a 37-31 lead with 10 minutes left.
- Following a jumper by King with just over six minutes left in regulation, Centre embarked on a quick 9-0 run, thanks to three-straight three's.
- King makes two three's in the final 3:08 to force overtime.
- Trailing by one in overtime, Jenkins recorded a 5-0 run all by herself as Hendrix held the 55-51 lead with 2:34 left including the eventual game-winning and-one opportunity in which the sophomore converted the free throw to give Hendrix the one-point edge.
- Jenkins, Daniel and King combined to shoot 3-for-6 at the free throw line in the final 27 seconds as Centre missed a deep three-pointer as time expired. Hendrix held on for the 60-58 road win.
OF NOTE
- After exploding for 12 rebounds and five points against Sewanee, King finished with 12 points and six rebounds with a 3-of-5 mark from beyond-the-arc; the third time in the last four games she has knocked down three three-pointer's.
- Jenkins shot 5-of-8 from the floor in her double-double performance.
- Moody added 11 points off the bench; now has scored 44 total points in the last four games.
- Daniel, who has shot .500 or better in all but two games this season, dished out three assists and pulled down four rebounds; shot 4-for-8 from the charity stripe against the Colonels.

Serena Pruitt produced three assists in 20 minutes of work while senior forward
Maddie Anderson and junior guard
Amber Turner combined for four points and five rebounds.
- Hendrix's bench outscored the Colonels 25-11 while the Warriors scored 24 of its 60 points in the paint while Centre recorded just 11 points in the paint.
- The Warriors shot 21-of-52 (40.4%) from the floor, 7-of-17 from deep and 11-for-17 at the charity stripe while Centre shot just 21-of-53 from the field, 8-of-25 from downtown and 8-of-11 at the free throw line.
- The 10 turnovers committed Sunday tied the season-low for Hendrix (12/2/18 vs Texas Lutheran; won)
WHAT WAS SAID
"Today was an awesome win and a total team effort," stated a happy Coach Gaeng. "We made some big plays down the stretch and executed incredibly well late to pull it out."
WHO'S NEXT
After starting 2-1 following the opening week of SAA play, Hendrix returns back to Conway as part of its SAA home opener Friday against Millsaps. The Warriors and Majors are set for a 6 p.m. start time inside Grove Gymnasium.
